Hot off the press, we can now proudly confirm Erick Morillo will be debuting at Q43 (in Dubai’s Media One Hotel) this month for our 5th Birthday Party.
The house music icon, and Subliminal Records boss, returns to Dubai to help us celebrate 5 years at the helm of the city’s nightlife. Free up the calendar on Thursday 28th February and come get involved in a night of historic nightlife importance.
Previous superstar DJs to light up the decks at this award-winning venue have included Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Armand van Helden, Judge Jules and Toolroom Records’ Mark Knight to name but a few; this time however will be extra special on every front. Mr Morillo, will be thrilled to learn, he’s about to be eligible to find himself included in my (fairly epic) Claim to Fame Festival Line Up too!
No sooner had the epic DJ headliner been announced, we are already close to having all VIP (and VVIP) tables completely sold out. The hype and the buzz hasn’t even taken full effect as yet.
The NYC born Morillo has been rocking the house music scene worldwide for decades; originally producing under the guise of Real 2 Real, he’s worked alongside Masters of Works’ Little Louie Vega, Puff Diddy (no less), Harry Choo Choo Romero and Carl Cox. His impact on the global dance music stage has been so great he’s had his own street – where he grew up in New Jersey – renamed Erick Morrilo Way!
Over the year’s he’s partied in every major city on earth, including his own events at the infamous Miami Winter Music Conference alongside a residency at Pacha Ibiza that’s spanned (essentially) 20 plus years. Quite an accolade for somebody who still looks younger than me.
Regardless we will be partying like its 1999 or – at least – like we’ve been leading Dubai’s nightlife scene since 2013. Which may, or may not, be the same. Here's a little sample of what to expect with one of his latest releases:
If you aren’t in Dubai on Thursday 28th February – it’s not too late to book a flight. Come party with us and Erick Morillo at Q43’s 5th Birthday!
